These days, Celine Dion’s public appearances are few and far between. Ever since she shared her stiff person syndrome diagnosis in 2022, the singer has kept her outings to a minimum. However, last night, she made an exception to enjoy a Coldplay concert in Las Vegas on June 7.

“What an unforgettable evening with @Coldplay at @AllegiantStadium…My heart is still singing! 🎶,” wrote Dion in an Instagram post. “A heartfelt thanks to the band and their amazing team for welcoming my family with warmth and kindness. It was all…fantastique❤️.”

The post featured a few images of Dion with the band backstage. In one, she could be seen at the center of a group hug, while in another, she was seen chatting with the band’s frontman Chris Martin. The final two images showed Queen Celine waving happily to the crowd from her seat.

Dion wore a chic menswear-inspired look for her rare outing, pairing a black and white polkadot tie with a dashing wool three piece suit. She wore her hair back in a slick, low bun.

The singer was reportedly accompanied to the concert by her three sons Rene-Charles, Nelson, and Eddy, whom she shares with late husband Rene Angelil.

During the performance, Martin gave the iconic Queen Celine a shout out from the stage in a video captured by a fan. Her face appeared on the big screen and she became visibly emotional, tearing up as the crowd gave her a standing ovation. “Well, Celine, my beautiful sister, you make my heart go on and on, near-far, you’re a total superstar,” Martin sang. “Let’s hear it from the legendary Celine Dion. We Love You.” Dion was also filmed dancing in blue sunglasses during the show.

Martin also gave his ex-girlfriend, Dakota Johnson, an unexpected shout out during his performance. “Thank you so much everybody. Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other,” Martin said to the crowd in another fan video posted by Deux Moi. He then gave a shout out to Johnson’s upcoming rom-com, Materialists. “Don’t forget to see Materialists!” he went on. “We love you!”

Then, last month, she made an on-screen appearance during a Eurovision event.

Celine released the trailer for her new documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, which drops June 25.

The singer took a break from performing but has been filming behind the scenes with Amazon to share her health struggle.

Stiff Person Syndrome affects the nervous system and can cause painful spasms that worsen over time.

In the trailer for I Am: Celine Dion, the singer broke down in tears over her condition and vowed that she would crawl to her shows.

“I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder and I wasn’t ready to say anything before,” she told the camera.

“But I’m ready now.”

In the trailer the audio from a 911 call could be heard over several shots of Celine taking medication.

Celine got emotional after saying she had to cancel shows due to her bad health.

“It’s not hard to do a show, it’s hard to cancel a show,” she said through tears.

“I’m working hard every day but I have to admit, it’s been a struggle. I miss it so much, the people, I miss them.”

“If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. But I won’t stop,” she added.

THE DIAGNOSIS

Celine first revealed that she was suffering from the condition in 2022, when she was forced to cancel several concert dates.

She told fans she was suffering from a rare autoimmune condition and then took a step away from the spotlight.

Celine shared an Instagram photo beside her three sons, René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy, who she shares with late husband René Angélil on Stiff Person Syndrome day.

“Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible,’ she captioned the post.

“I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!

“I want to send my encouragement and support to all those around the world that have been affected by SPS. I want you to know you can do it! We can do it! Love Celine xx…” she concluded.
