Since winning the Star Academy in January 2025, Marine Delplanché’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. On Tuesday, May 27, the 25-year-old singer from Arras appeared on BFM TV to promote her latest single, Cœur Maladroit — a song that’s both deeply personal and strikingly relatable. Far from the reality TV spotlight, Marine is now carving out her place in the French music scene with authenticity and emotional depth.
Her first single, Ma Faute, released shortly after the end of the show, became a gold-certified hit and captured the hearts of a wide audience. But Marine didn’t stop there. On May 23, she released Cœur Maladroit, a retro-inspired pop track that mixes vulnerability with upbeat melodies. In just under a week, the song racked up over 300,000 streams on Spotify, while the music video crossed the 500,000 mark on YouTube — a clear sign that her success is no fluke.
During her interview, Marine revealed that Cœur Maladroit is more than just a catchy tune — it’s a mirror of her emotional world. “Even in love, I’m a bit clumsy,” she admitted with a smile. With her trademark sincerity, she opened up about how the song reflects the common struggles and emotional missteps many face, herself included. “Sometimes, the words come out before I think,” she said. “It’s clumsy, but it’s me.”
Now living in Paris, Marine has shifted her entire focus toward music. In a candid moment, she admitted that romantic relationships have taken a back seat. “Before, love was a big deal for me — maybe because I wasn’t fulfilled professionally. But now that I’m living my dream, I don’t have the time or even the real desire. Not right now.” It’s a bold statement from a young woman clearly aware of her goals and priorities.
Looking ahead, Marine is preparing to release her debut album before the summer. The project will feature a mix of high-energy tracks and heartfelt piano ballads, all co-written by her. Notably, she’s collaborating with acclaimed artist Eddy de Pretto — a partnership that promises depth and originality.
In the meantime, Marine continues to tour with her fellow Star Academy alumni, with a major performance at Paris’s Accor Arena on June 13. A solo tour is already planned for 2026. With her raw talent, relatable lyrics, and clear vision, Marine Delplanché is proving she’s not just another TV talent — she’s a powerful new voice in French pop music.
